You can contact a passenger for any active job, or after confirming you’re coming if you’ve got multiple jobs on the go at the same time.
It’s a good idea to contact the passenger when:
- You’re avoiding unexpected traffic or roadworks
- You have waited more than 2 minutes at the pickup location
- You’re approaching the pickup location and it’s busy / congested
- You’re unable to find the passenger
The passenger can see your location and ETA at all times, so there’s no need to let them know you’re coming.

Sending a chat message is often the best way to communicate with the passenger. Tap CHAT and select a frequently used message, or type your own.
At the moment, ingogo supplied phones aren’t able to make outbound calls - so tapping CALL will display the passenger’s name and number so you can get in touch using your own phone.
