If you are running late the best thing to do is to contact the passenger using the CHAT feature. Most passengers are happy to wait a little longer if their circumstances allow it and you’re polite and apologetic.
Passengers can cancel without charge for a short period after you’ve accepted the job offer, and also if you’re more than 5 minutes later than the estimated arrival time.
If you know you can’t make it near to the pickup time, the best thing to do is to cancel the job. You’ll be charged a cancellation fee (See Cancellation Fees), but it means you won’t waste your time getting to the job that may no longer be active - and you’ll give us the opportunity to find another way to get the passenger to their destination.
If you are more than 5 minutes late and try to No Show the passenger, you can still receive a cancellation fee. If you are running late the best thing to do is to cancel the booking first.
